چکیده
Materials and methods Patients were consecutively recruited among the patients with pSS seen in our rheumatic department between March 2001 and October 2007. All the included patients met the revised European Community Criteria for pSS. All patients fulfilling the clinical criteria for rheumatoid arthritis (RA), SLE, polymyositis, systemic sclerosis or other diffuse connective tissue diseases were excluded from pSS group. Any patients with sarcoidosis, graft-versus-host disease, acquired immune deficiency syndrome or preexisting lymphoma were also excluded.

Anticardiolipin and Antibeta2glycoproteinI Antibodies in Patients with Hepatitis B and C Infections
Background: The clinical significance of antiphospholipid antibodies in patients with chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) and some other viral infections is controversial. Objective: To study the prevalence of anticardiolipin antibody (ACLA) and antibeta2glycoproteinI antibody (antibeta2GPI antibody) in HCV and hepatitis B virus (HBV) infected patients and its association with liver clinical parame...
متن کاملAnticardiolipin Antibodies in Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis and Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
Background: Antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APS) can either occur as a primary syndrome or associated with other autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Anticardiolipin antibody (aCL) of IgG and/or IgM isotype in blood, measured by a standardized ELISA is the most acceptable laboratory criteria. APS IgG isotype, particularly IgG2 subclass is more strongly associated ...
متن کاملImportace of monoclonal immunoglobulin in Sjögren’s syndrome
Background: Sjögren’s syndrome is the second most common systemic autoimmune disease after rheumatoid arthritis, RA, with a prevalence of about 0.5% in the general population. It occurs primarily in perimenopausal women (at a ratio of women to men of 9: 1) Sjögren’s syndrome is characterized by lymphocytic infiltration to exocrine glands. The specific autoantibodies of this syndrome are against...
متن کاملAnticardiolipin Antibodies and Immunoglobulin M and A in Graves’ Disease
Background: Graves’ disease is an autoimmune disease, characterized by the presence of antibodies directed to TSH receptor or nearby regions as well as antibodies to double strands DNA (dsDNA) anticardiolipin and nuclear antibodies. This study evaluated anticardiolipin and rheumatoid factor, such as IgA and IgM antibodies in patients with Graves’ disease. Patients and methods: Anticardiolipin a...

OBJECTIVE To describe microvascular abnormalities by nailfold capillaroscopy in patients with primary Sjögren's syndrome (SS) with or without Raynaud's phenomenon (RP) and those with anticentromere antibodies (ACA). METHODS Forty patients with SS (14 without RP, 16 with RP, 10 with ACA), 20 patients with scleroderma (SSc) (10 with limited and 10 with diffuse disease) (disease control group) a...
